Macrompians and 'For Alice' two 3D Lenticular Photographic shows
Throughout the summer of 2008 Jon Mitton will be exhibiting 31 large format 3D lenticular Photographs from two newly created shows.
The launch of the first show, ‘For Alice’ on July 2nd 2008 will be held at the National Botanic Gardens in Dublin, featuring intimate close ups of some of the gardens most unique plant life.
On the 8th July 2008 a show of 16 large format 3D Lenticular Portraits will launch in Macroom Town Hall in West Cork, Ireland, entitled ‘Macrompians’ a view of life of Macroom townsfolk.
These two shows will then unite as one at Trinitys new Science Gallery in City Center Dublin, launching on the 8th August. As well as 31 large format 3D Photographs there will be a chance to have your portrait taken with the Patented Mitton LR1, the worlds only portable Linear rail system and find out the brief history of its trip from invention to commercialisation.
For the last few days of August., both shows travel up to ‘The Electric Picnic’ in Stradbally, one of Irelands foremost Art and Music festivals, so if you need something different to do, we’ll see you there.
